Building My Personal Website

As part of the WPCredits program, one of my main tasks was to build a personal website where I could document my learning process, showcase my contributions, and present my experience with the WordPress community. At first, I thought creating the website would be straightforward, but it quickly became one of the most challenging and rewarding parts of the project.

This website became the central place where I organized everything I learned throughout the WPCredits program, from my onboarding experience to my contributions to WP Polyglots.

When I first started working with WordPress, the interface was completely new to me. I had to learn how to use the Site Editor, create pages, organize navigation menus, and work with blocks to design each section of the website.

To build my portfolio, I selected the Twenty Twenty-Five theme and customized it to create a clean and professional website. I designed separate pages for Home, About Me, My Project, My Posts, and Contact, making sure that visitors could easily navigate through my portfolio.

Throughout the process, I experimented with different layouts, images, colors, and content until I found a design that reflected both my personality and the objectives of the WPCredits project. Whenever I encountered difficulties, I searched for documentation, watched tutorials, and asked for guidance until I found the best solution.

Building the blog section was another important part of the project because it allowed me to document each stage of my learning journey and present my progress in a structured and organized way.

This experience taught me that creating a professional website requires much more than adding text and images. It involves planning the structure of the site, organizing information clearly, and creating a user-friendly experience.

I also improved my understanding of the WordPress block editor, website navigation, page design, and content organization. These skills will be valuable for future web development projects and for creating professional websites.

Looking back at the final result, I feel proud of the website I created. Although building it required patience and continuous learning, it became one of the most valuable parts of the WPCredits program.

Creating this portfolio allowed me not only to improve my WordPress skills but also to present my work in a professional way. It gave me greater confidence using WordPress and showed me how much I had learned throughout the project. I believe this website reflects both my technical growth and my commitment to continuous learning.
